NBC has been busy dealing with a rumored new late night conundrum involving Jay Leno supposedly being removed from The Tonight Show in favor of Jimmy Fallon. It’s hard to believe that it’s been a few years since the network last had a debacle with the staple late night talk show as Jay Leno decided he wanted his job back after being replaced by Conan O’Brien.
Thankfully, the headline making entertainment struggle resulted in a huge outcry of support for Conan by way of fans calling themselves Team Coco (based on nickname from Tom Hanks) and TBS used that to strike a deal with O’Brien for his own show, appropriately called Conan, that has turned into a moderately successful program, especially with younger crowds.
